North Central London Cancer Alliance – Cancer Careers Insight Day at RNOH, 18th March

RNOH hosted the North Central London Cancer Alliance and 20 Students from Stanmore College for a Cancer Careers Insight Day.  Colleagues from Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Medical teams showcased the breadth of roles within our Sarcoma services.

The event provided school leavers with valuable, first-hand insight into the diverse career pathways available in cancer care, as well as the opportunity to hear directly from professionals working across our multidisciplinary teams.

This initiative aligns closely with the NCL Cancer Workforce Strategy, supporting the ‘supply’ pillar by encouraging more young people to explore careers in cancer services and helping to build a strong, sustainable future workforce.

Ali Malik, Managing Director of NCL Cancer Alliance, highlighted: “This initiative not only gives school leavers invaluable exposure to cancer services, but also helps inspire the next generation to consider rewarding careers in cancer care. By opening up these opportunities, we’re investing in a more diverse, skilled, and future-ready workforce that will help shape the future of cancer services across the NHS.”

A big thank you to all colleagues who contributed their time and expertise to make the day such a success.
