On 2 February, Jo Colman had the privilege of attending an evening reception at 10 Downing Street to mark the launch of the National Cancer Plan for England, the government’s plan to transform cancer care and outcomes in England by 2035.  The event brought together a wide range of health professionals, charity representatives and patients, with a particular emphasis on improving outcomes for people affected by rare cancers.

The reception was opened by Wes Streeting, who introduced the cancer plan and spoke about the government’s commitment to strengthening cancer services, improving early diagnosis and ensuring better support for patients and families.
