Improved access to UCLH clinical documents via the London Care Record

From Wednesday 13 May 2026, University College London Hospitals (UCLH) will begin securely sharing a view-only version of key clinical documents through the London Care Record. This will enable authorised clinicians across London to access relevant information when providing direct patient care.

Documents available will include:

• Clinic letters
• Inpatient discharge summaries
• Emergency Department discharge notes
• Diagnostic reports

This enhancement improves continuity of care by ensuring clinicians across primary, secondary, community and social care settings can access accurate and timely clinical documentation. It supports safer decision-making and helps reduce duplication for both patients and staff.

• Reduced duplication, including repeat tests and repeated patient histories
• Less time spent chasing information from other organisations
• Better coordination across hospitals, general practice, community and social care
